In the first picture, i chose a background of the beach. As a teenager, a beach is a regular hangout place for both male and females whereby friends could have fun. In the picture, the boy is animatedly flailing his arms, signalling excitement. While the girl is having a sip. It could be implied that she was tired for all the activities they could have done on the beach.
In the second picture, it shows a girl clutching something in her arm, likely a book, which displays a academic side of her. While the guy wishes her all the best for her PSLE, the primary school leaving examination as we know it. This was to show that they were going to be separated soon, as they go to different secondary schools. This is also creates a Singaporean identity whereby Singaporeans could easy identify with the characters.
In the third picture, the two characters are separated by a lightning signifying that of adversity, hardships and problems. Also, the girl is with her back turned towards the boy, showing that she was soon going to leave. While the boy has his head hung low, probably forlorn that his best friend was soon going to leave him.
The last picture uses a background of a soccer pitch. Sports, as we know it, centers around fun and teamwork. Portraying perfectly that of true friendship. Thus, in this picture, the girl is striking the ball, while the boy makes an attempt to save it. A smile spreads across their faces, displaying excitement. More importantly, this picture showed that
