INTRODUCTION!

Hello! I am Ong Yan Zhe. I am born on the 20th October1997 which conincidentally is exactly 7 years later than my brother!I was from Nanyang primary school. I am very thankful of my brother and my mother who were alumnis of NYPS and NYGH respectively. I was also enrolled into the GEP, which is an enriching programme redefining you in many ways. You might ask so why did you join hwa chong? Well, I joined Hwa Chong for their cultural, morals and also because my brother was also in Hwa Chong. Based on his experiences, I could tell that hwa chong was a amazing school, this is probably the huge factor that separated HCI from other schools in my mind. In this six years, I would hope to do well academically, have fun while studying hard at the same time and if possible serve in the school in as many ways as possible.
Other than all the academic-related stuff, I actually have a strong interest towards sports or more specifically soccer. The passion probably started when I was 5. I could vaguely remember me and my brother watching the 2002 world cup held in korea and japan via the television. Since then I have been a mega soccer fan, but for what reason, I really do not know too. There are two teams I support. On the international level I support the French national team, but on the club level, I support Chelsea. Well, it all started in 2004. As a kid, I usually support the winning team, as they won two campaigns in a row and as I grew older, I guess they were THE TEAM FOR ME and so since then I have been consistently rooting for them. In my opinion, Drogba, chelsea’s forward is the best player in the world. His technique, speed and strength makes him a complete player, explaining his being one of the most feared striker in the league. I hope there will be a lot of such soccer fans in my class, so that I can look forwards to soccer sessions as a form of relaxation after class!
Basically life in HCI has been fun-filled so far. Despite constantly reaching home at 7. Despite stuggling to finish my homework till 10-11. But it was fun, especially the orientation. I grumbled about cheering all day, but i actually enjoyed it. I ENJOY THE SCHOOL. Currently, i am still in the process of adapting to the school, the curriculum and everything that i have to do everyday, for example check my EMB for messages which were not done in my primary school. Also i now have many new subjects like Integrated Hummanities. and so on and so forth. At the same time there are many things to think about. For example condsidering the drastic change between primary school friends and secondary school friends, i am actually considering having external people in my projects day group... but i have heard that external people can join you in your presentation for preliminaries and everything so i am kind of like in a dilemma. Also, in HCI i also have to worry about ACE projects. Lastly, CCA. Should i take softball? NPCC? I really have no idea. Help people help! post comments!
PS: sorry this is abit short. but its late and i wanna sleep le... will edit soon.
